Navistar Customer Internet Warranty Policy
Navistar warrants to its customers that it will issue a credit on any PartSmart part distributed through the PartSmart Parts Internet site found to be defective in material and/or workmanship. PartSmart parts are warranted for 1 year unlimited miles excluding labor. The warranty period will begin at the date of invoice. All warranty claims must be submitted through the PartSmart Parts Internet site and returned within 30 days of the warranty claim submission.
The warranty process is as follows for PartSmart Internet sales:
- Log into the PartSmart Internet site.
- Select the order # that the part was ordered on and select the "warranty return" option for that PN.
- Input the reason for the failure in the comment box.
- The system will generate the following documents for returning the part.
- Prepaid shipping label
- Copy of the original invoice (must be included in the box with defective part)
- You will be asked if you would like to reorder the same part. Select "yes" and you will be redirected to the order home page to place another order. Select "no" if you do not want to reorder the same part.
- Ship the defective part back using the prepaid shipping label. A copy of the invoice must be included with the return. The defective part must be received within 30 days of the warranty submission in order to qualify for credit.
- Credit for the full purchase price (excluding shipping and handling) will be issued for the defective part once it is received. If the part is not received or received after the 30 day period, no credit will be issued for the part.
